Confused about the different sunbeds and which bed is best for your budget, needs and home. Here is a simple useful explanation guide to help you chose.

Foldaways

Also known as Canopies, “over the bed”, up and over and singles.

Foldway means that the bed can be swivelled upright after use and push away for storage. These offer optimal comfort and relaxation as you tan whilst laying on your own bed. They also have small castors on their single stand. Be aware of Canopies that are on a fixed stand in a permanent horizontal position. These really need a spare bed for you to lie on.

Double Units

Also know as, Top & Bottom, Twin and Lie-Down. These consist of a very ridged curved base (the bed) with tubes in, that you lie on, and a tubed canopy or top that you tilt down and kind of “sandwich” yourself, giving you a double exposure on both sides of your body at the same time. The Canopies are stronger then the Base so for best results you should change position by lying on your back then on your front for every alternative exposure session.

Sunshowers

Also known as Vertical Tanning Unit, VTU, Stand-Up or a “Walk in Sunbed” These are the most popular out of the three. They take up a small area around 1 metre square so can be placed anywhere: the garage, utility room, bedroom corner, living room (if your not shy) etc. They consist of 4 or 5 small panels that are assembled together by us, around about 10 minutes, They both have a hinged door which closes behind you after you have stepped inside it. There are a number of cooling fans to make the tanning session more comfortable which can also be switched off by a single push button. Once you’re stood up inside the sunshower you are completely surrounded by the latest lamps, giving you a full immersive tanning experience.
